Lila "Tiny" Davis

Mrs. Lila “Tiny” Lavinia McClain Davis, 93, of Ruckersville Rd., Elberton, GA wife of the late Horace Jackson Davis passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Davis was born February 24, 1927 in Anderson, SC to John David McClain and Kathleen Loftis McClain Barrett. She was a member of Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired secretary from the textile industry at Burlington in Calhoun Falls, SC.

Mrs. Davis was a God fearing woman who loved her Lord and Savior and family.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Jackie C. Davis McCurley and John McCurley of Hartwell, GA and Marie Davis of the home; grandchildren: Kelly C. Jordan, Josh and Katie Carrington, Laura Carrington, all of Elberton, GA; great-grandchildren: Abby J. and Brent Moon of Dewy Rose, GA, Jackson Davis Jordan, Jamie Carrington, Boyd Thomas Carrington, and Bryton Davis Carrington, all of Elberton, GA, brother: Bradley Barrett of Columbia, SC, sister: Doris Tynsky of Ida, OK and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a infant son: Bobby Horace Davis, grandson: Thomas Mark Carrington, great-grandson: Thomas Candler Jordan, brothers: Morris Barrett, Olin Barrett and a sister: Betty Barrett.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 4PM, Thursday, August 20 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Williams officiating. Due to Covid-19 there will be no formal visitation. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery with Josh Carrington, Jackson Davis Jordan, Brent Moon, Boyd Thomas Carrington and Bryton Davis Carrington serving as pallbearers.
