Louise Tiller Bone, 81, of 1059 Ruckersville Road, Elberton, wife of Talmadge Thompson Bone, Sr., died Friday night, April 1, 2011, in the Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bone was born in Oglethorpe County, August 31, 1929, daughter of the late Junius and Frances Tiller. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church where she served as the church treasure, was a member of United Methodist Woman, and the church choir. Louise was a "ray of sunshine" at Spring Valley Healthcare Center for the past 5 years. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 63 years, are daughters, Frances Swygert, Connie Ayers, and Tina Bone, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Talmadge Bailey and his wife, Kira Swygert of Elberton, Heidi Louise Swygert, and Sheena Ayers and her husband, Bart Stransky, all of Atlanta; and great-grandsons, Brandon Seymour and Tanner Moore, both of Elberton. Mrs. Bone is preceded in death by her only son, Talmadge Thompson Bone, Jr.; and son-in-law, John Bailey "Johnny" Swygert. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Monday, April 4, at 2PM in the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverends Luther Mahoney and Kenneth Deitle officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the residence, 1059 Ruckersville Road and will receive friends from 5-7PM Sunday night, at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Doug Anderson, Edwin Shive, Dennis Bone, Barry Witcher, Darryl Witcher, and Arthur Lomant. Danny Shive, Jimmy Chastain, Larry Johnson, Pete Smith, Kenneth Johnson, and Bob Ward will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family greatly appreciates all flowers, and memorials may be made in her honor to the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.berryfh.com.
