Lucille Brown Wilhite, 71, of Elberton, wife of Doug Wilhite, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, at Heardmont Nursing Home. Mrs. Wilhite was born in Hart County, March 28, 1941, to the late William Dial Brown and Hattie Mae Dutton Brown. She was a retired dietary aide at Spring Valley Health Care Center and a member of the Elberton Church of God. Left to cherish here memories are her husband, Doug Wilhite; children and their spouses, Robin Bonds of Elberton, Lisa and Mike Johnson of Calhoun Falls, Darlene and Curt Gable of Abbeville, and Renee Jones and Jason Hood of Elberton; siblings, Hazel Burton, Betty Burton, Bruce Brown, Charles Brown, Fred Brown, and Larry Brown; grandchildren, Mickey and Hannah Johnson, Scott Bonds, Kayla Bonds, Derek Johnson, Carson Johnson, April Jones, Jennifer Jones, Justin Jones, Logan Gable, Hannah Gable, Stephanie Gable, Miya Hood, and Danielle French; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Dallas 'Melvin' Jones and Bobby Dwayne Jones; granddaughter, Tiffany Marie Bonds; and great-grandson, Jack Vernon Johnson. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 3PM Monday, October 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The Wilhite family is at the home of Renee Jones and Jason Hood, 1627 Dickerson Road in the Goss Community and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM Sunday evening.
