Marie Elsie Killian

Marie Elsie Burhans Killian, 88, of Nickville Road, Elberton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Heardmont Nursing Home. Ms. Killian was born in New Jersey August 4, 1924, to the late George Burhans and Anna Lisa Lilyroth Burhans. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and was retired from Solar Industries Tech. Left to cherish her memories are sons, James Appleby, Sr. of Elberton and Robert William Appleby; grandchildren, James Michael Appleby, Jr. of Bowman, Margaret Ann Haller of Port Orange, FL, Lisa Ann Fredien of Austin, TX, and Jean-Marie Appleby of Daytona, FL; great-grandchildren, Drew Appleby of Bowman, Leah Haller and Austin Haller, both of Port Orange, FL, and Lexi Fredline of Austin, Texas. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held Thursday June 6, at 10:30AM with Father Vincent Sullivan officiating in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home.
