Mr. Martin Elmer Moss, 93, of Calhoun Falls Highway husband of the late Loretta Daniel Moss passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Moss was born February 28, 1921 in Elberton, Georgia to the late Oscar J. Moss and Julia Octavia Bailey Moss. He was a member of Middleton United Methodist Church, a retired diesel mechanic, a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran serving in WWII and a member of the VFW. Left to cherish his memories are daughter and son-in-law Julia Faye and Robert Price of Elberton; son Gregory Neil Moss and his Fiance Faye Johnson of Elberton; sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Basil Woodard of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sons Keith and Sterling Moss and a brother Julian Moss. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 2PM, Friday March 7 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Sharon Coley officiating. Interment will follow in Middleton United Methodist Church with Timothy Hendrick, Jarrett Hendrick, Jamie Price, Cenovio Miranda, Steve Ridgeway and Lee Wells serving as pallbearers. The Moss family will be at the home 1907 Calhoun Falls Highway and will receive friends from 1-2PM Friday at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in his honor to Middleton United Methodist Church 1328 Fairway Drive, Elberton, Georgia 30635.
