Mary Alice Rousey Dickerson

Mary Alice Rousey Dickerson, 82, of 2174 Bowman Highway, Dewy Rose, wife of Harold Dickerson, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at her residence. Born in Elbert County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Lucy Smith Rousey. She was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church and a retired seamstress. Survivors include her husband, Harold Dickerson; sister, Carolyn Johnson of Elberton; granddaughter, Jana Brinson of Brunswick, Georgia; great-granddaughters, Kyla West and Alyvia Brinson, both of Brunswick. She is preceded in death by brothers and sister, Harvey Rousey, Joe Rousey, Henry Rousey, and Ida Ruth Coker. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Friday, February 11, at 2PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Martin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family is at the home, 2174 Bowman Highway, Dewy Rose, and will receive friends Thursday (Feb. 10) from 6-8PM at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers Include: Rickey Oglesby, James Brown, Jimmy McCannon, Edward Veal, Howard Bray, and Michael Coker. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Alice Rousey Dickerson.
