Mary Anne Carithers Poorman

Ms. Mary Anne Carithers Poorman, 79, of Brookwood Circle, Elberton, GA, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Poorman was born in Vienna, GA on June 24, 1943, daughter of the late William Harvey Carithers and Faye Melindie Brown Carithers. She worked as a bookkeeper in a department store. Mary thoroughly enjoyed reading, watching western television shows, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include her children: Pamela Poorman, Richard Poorman, and Suzie Hurst, all of Jacksonvile, FL; siblings: Vellon McClain of Elberton, GA, Brenda Kerker of PA, and Bobby Lee Carithers of Jacksonville, FL; special niece, June McClain of Elberton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Cora Linda, Alice, Sue, and William Alfred.
