Mary Helen Johnson

Miss Mary Helen Johnson, 74, of Elberton, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Miss Johnson was born in Elberton on June 13, 1944, daughter of the late Ralph Thomas Johnson and Janie Lee Davis Johnson. She was a homemaker, a member of Elberton Church of God, and attended Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her siblings: Betty Ivester, Alvin Johnson, Vera Ingram, and Faye Yearwood, all of Elberton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Frances Davis, Tommy Johnson, and Cecil Johnson.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 8, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. David McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family is at the residence of Alvin Johnson, 1220 Crestview Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Friday evening.
