Mary Sandra Martin

Miss Mary Sandra Martin, 71, of Martin Road, Bowman, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Sandra was born in Elberton on July 10, 1949, daughter of the late Albert Sidney Martin and Mary Arnoldean Butler Martin. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and loved children.

She is survived by her nephew and niece, both of whom considered her their "Granny San" and she loved dearly: Michael Duke and Shanna Anders and Destiny Duke Ayers and Lee; and Peggy and Mark LeFevre, her caretakers; and numerous other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her a close cousin, Tony Duke; and her grandparents: Arnold J. and Mary Seymour Butler and Huey V. and Mamie Palmer Martin.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 10 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Jamie Callaway and Lynn Kellum officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Sandra will lie instate at Berry Funeral Home from 1:00-5:00p.m. on Friday, August 28, for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the guestbook.
