Patsy Burney Jordan, 75, of 1723 Athens Highway, Elberton, wife of Candler Johnson Jordan, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Jordan was born in Elbert County, May 20, 1937, to the late Flem, Sr. and Willie Mae Pulliam Burney. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a seamstress at Elberton Manufacturing and retired from Johnson & Johnson. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 59 years, Candler Johnson Jordan; children and spouses, Diane Jordan, Sandra & Bill Duncan, all of Royston, Greg Jordan of Dewy Rose, and Jeff & Julie Jordan of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Karrie Martin, Scott Bryant, Shane Hazelrig, Kevin Duncan, April Stone, LeAnne King, Kayce Johnson, Abby Jordan, Jackson Jordan, and Kristen Haigh; great-grandchildren, Kayla & Turner Martin, Grady, Grace, & Graham Bryant, Kaylee & Kinsley Duncan, Duncan & Candler Stone, and Baylor King; special niece, Stephanie Brown; and several other nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, and a special nephew, Charles Porterfield. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 4PM Friday, January 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Greg Jordan and Wade Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The Jordan family is at the residence, 1723 Athens Highway, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 2-4PM Friday.
