Pauline Brown Jordan, 83, of Bowman, widow of Hugh Guy Jordan, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jordan was born in Hart County, August 5, 1927, daughter of the late William Dial and Mae Belle Bryson Brown. She was a seamstress for Oxford Industries and was a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Camilla J. Dyer of Conyers, GA, Winston Jordan of Lawrenceville, GA, Rabun Jordan of Elberton, GA, and Reuben Jordan of Canon, GA, siblings, Hazel Burton of Bowman, GA, Charles Burton of Bowman, GA, Larry Brown of Vanna, GA, Bruce Brown of Dewy Rose, GA, Fred Brown of Hartwell, GA, Lucille Wilhite of Elberton, GA, and Betty Burton of Honea Path, SC; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 3PM Sunday, January 23, 2011, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverends William Glenn Dyer and Scott Mize officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-3PM just prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be graciously accepted and those wishing may make donations in her honor to the American Lung Association. Condolences may be sent online at www.berryfh.com.
