Petru Covaci

Mr. Petru Covaci, 71, of Dickerson Road, Elberton, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, in Elberton as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Romania, Mr. Covaci immigrated to the United States in the 1980s, and had lived in Elberton since March of this year. He was a member of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Dobrovolschi; daughter, Daniela Cavanaugh and her husband Paul; and grandchildren: Hunter and Morgan. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki.

The funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:30-7:30p.m. on Tuesday evening and from 10:00-10:45a.m. on Wednesday morning.
