Mr. Rabun Kidd, 80, of Floyd Road, Dewy Rose, husband of Elizabeth Griffin Kidd, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Kidd was born in Elbert County on May 13, 1933, to the late Jack and Ruby Brown Kidd. He was a retired machine operator from Elbert County and was of the Baptist faith. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elizabeth Griffin Kidd; children and their spouses, James "Pete" and Willine Kidd of Colbert and Tammy K. and Joel Norton of Jefferson; three grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Kidd of Hartwell and Tom Kidd of Dewy Rose; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Walters, Mauline Kidd, Jack Kidd, Jr., and Jerry Kidd. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, April 21, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the residence of Pete and Willine Kidd, 130 Hannah Drive, Colbert, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Sunday evening.
