Mrs. Rachel Annette Brock Pless, 81, of Anderson Highway, Hartwell, GA went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Mrs. Pless was born on January 21, 1942, in Seneca, SC to Dennis Calvin Brock, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Fitzgerald Brock. She loved her Lord and was a member of Assembly Church of Hartwell. Rachel was an avid guitar player and singer, and she enjoyed doing crosswords and puzzles, and watching movies. She was a former weaver at Elberton Mills before owning and operating Pless Upholstery in Hartwell, GA.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Jimmy Joe Lovinggood of Dewy Rose, GA and Debee and Rick Melton of Elberton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law: Ellen and Neal Cromer of Elberton, GA, and Kathy Roberts of Vallejo, CA; grandchildren: Jimmy Jackson Lovinggood, Jonathan Clete Brady, Briar Daniel McCarty, Cecile and Cody Kidd, Brandy and Stephen Saxon, and Andrew and Christina Melton; great-grandchildren: Bradley Saxon, Waylon Kidd, and Brooks Melton; special sister-in-law, Ruth Johnson Bearden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Boyd Jackson Pless; daughter and son-in-law, Judy Faye and Ricky Daniel; sisters: Janet Barnes and Margie Gillis; brothers: Dennis Calvin Brock, Jr. and Curtis Alvin Brock; and grandchild, Richard Cole Daniel.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM on Sunday, March 26, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Molina officiating. Private interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jackson Lovinggood, Jonathan Clete Brady, Briar Daniel McCarty, Cody Kidd, Bradley Saxon, and Stephen Saxon.
