Richard Claude Dubose

Mr. Richard Claude Dubose, 81, of Elberton, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at The Oaks in Athens.

Mr. Dubose was born in Elberton on April 16, 1941, son of the late Bernice Dubose and Ella Mae Hester. He was retired from Mohawk Industries in Calhoun Falls, SC and a member of the Elberton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include his children: Dallas Dubose (Wanda) of Elberton, Darryl Dubose of Elberton, Lisa Gray of Elberton, and Teresa Dubose of Athens; siblings, Mary Hawks of Cleveland, OH, Robert Dubose (Andrea) of Elberton, GA, Ernest Dubose of Elberton, GA, Durnice Hall (Jody) of Elberton, GA; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Vernon Dubose.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, September 23, at 11 o’clock at the Elberton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The family is at 1191 Bodie Rayle Road, Elberton, and will receive friends from 10:00-11:00a.m. at the hall prior to the service.
