Richard Lee Smith, Sr.

Mr. Richard Lee Smith, Sr., 98, of Byrum Cemetery Rd. Lavonia, GA passed away Tuesday November 19, 2019 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.

Mr. Smith was born June 6, 1921 in Atlanta, GA to J. Fred Smith and Bertie Mae Hughes Smith. He was a retired printing ink salesman and an WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a son Richard "Ricky" Lee Smith, Jr. of Sendai, Japan and daughter: Pamela Smith of Toccoa, GA and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Nell Maxwell Smith.

Mr. Smith was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
