Roger Wayne Raines

Mr. Roger Wayne Raines, 69, of Harmony Rd. Elberton passed away Wednesday February 28, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional.

Mr. Raines was born in Fayette County, W.VA on June 6, 1948 to Claude E. Raines and Maude J. Webb Raines. He was a natural top polisher in the granite industry where he worked for Harmony Blue Granite Company for 35 years and retired from Kings Monument Company after 6 years.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Patricia Ann Bonds Raines; daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Seth Bialas of Elberton, GA; sister: Wanda Pless of Elberton, GA; brother: Richard Raines of Daytona, FL; grandchildren: Braxton Bialas, Baylie Bialas and Brylie Bialas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Sheree Raines.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 3PM, Saturday, March 3 at his home, 2302 Harmony Road, Elberton, GA with Buck Segars officiating.

Internment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
