Samuel Jerry Crump

Mr. Samuel Jerry “Sammy” Crump, 77, of Athens Road, Royston, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Sammy was born in Toccoa on April 28, 1943, son of the late Henry Moseley Crump and Lucy Loretta Jordan Standridge. He was a retired electrician and an avid motorcycle rider. He was a member of American Legion Post 251 in Duluth and was a Mason.

Survivors include his children: Joey Crump of Martin, Sharon Patterson of Lavonia, and Karen Bond of Royston; siblings: Roger Crump of Lawrenceville and Deborah Pitts of Toccoa; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teresa Crump; grandson, Joshua Crump; and sister, Trina Wilbanks.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 11, at 4 o'clockin the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa with Dr. Jerome Hill officiating. Visitation will be at 3 o'clock until time of the service.
