Samuel Paul Hogan

Mr. Samuel Paul Hogan, 74, of Colbert Danielsville Road, Colbert, husband of 16 years to Lucy Benton Hogan, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Piedmont Athens Hospital as a result of COVID-19.

Sammy was born in Monroe on December 17, 1946, son of the late Lonnie Lee Hogan and Sarah Florence Womack Hogan. He was of the Church of God faith and retired from the textile industry. Mr. Hogan enjoyed "piddling" and working in his yards.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy; son, Mark and Kimberlee Hogan of Monroe; grandchildren: Tori Hogan and Tyler Hogan; siblings: Linda and David Johnson, Harry and Debbie Hogan, and Sally Autry, all of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Robert Lee Hogan, Sandra Hogan, and Mary Alice Ferguson.

Private memorial services will be held.
