Shelia Howell Garrett

Mrs. Shelia Ann Howell Garrett, 58, of Bells Ferry Road, Elberton, wife of 41 years to Waco Daniel Garrett, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Shelia was born in Royston on March 12, 1961, daughter of Mary Evelyn Shiflet Howell and the late William Charles Howell. She was a dedicated employee of 1st Franklin Financial, having retired as Operational Vice President after 34 years of service. Shelia was a beloved wife, Nana, and daughter, and was loved by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Waco of the residence; children and their spouses: Jessica and Anthony Clark of Elberton, Justin Garrett of Elberton, and Amanda and Robbie Rousey of Commerce; mother, Mary Howell of Elberton; brother, Ray and Tina Howell of Bowman; grandchildren, who were the apples of their Nana’s eyes: McKenzie Clark, Brooklyn Rousey, Morgan Garrett, Colton Clark, and Kennedy Rousey.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 29, at 11 o’clock at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Friday, February 28.
