Shirley Morgan Pressley

Mrs. Shirley Morgan Pressley, 69, of Lilesville, NC, formerly of Carlton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Pressley was born January 5, 1947 in Plant City, FL to Sydney Morgan and Ruby Jordan Morgan. She was of the Holiness Faith and was a Bosslady in the construction industry.

Survivors include her significant other Andrew Chavis; children Lisa Davis of Carlton, GA: Randall Croy of Ellerbe, NC: Danny Croy of Carlton, GA: Ryan Pressley of Lilesville, NC: Kenneth Croy of Spartanburg, SC: Jodi Pressley of Nicholson, GA: Chris Pressley of Watkinsville, GA: Martha Rucker of Elberton, GA: Billy Chavis of Lilesville, NC; sister Elizabeth Mimbs of Gary, IN; twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sonny Pressley.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday November 12 at New Town Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Black officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Randall Croy, Danny Croy, Chris Couch, Ricky Looney, Aaron Wiley and Michael Gunter serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 12-2PM just prior to the service at New Town Baptist Church and at other times they will be at the home of Lisa Davis, 2340 Noble Rd., Carlton, GA.
