Sidney Partain

Mr. George Sidney Partain, 87, of Rehoboth Road Extension, Bowman, GA, husband of Tommie Kathleen Moon Partain went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 26, 2016 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Born October 27, 1929 in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late George Reed Partain and Mattie Clair Rousey Partain. A long-time community figure, Mr. Partain was a retired owner/entrepreneur of Partain TV and Radio Repair and retired from the Elberton Mill. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Elberton and had served in the GA Army National Guard.
Mr. Partain was an avid expert fisherman who touched the lives of many young people sharing the art of fly fishing, fly tying and rod making, and spent many enjoyable days with his loved ones on or in the lakes and rivers of Northeast Georgia. He will be remembered for his kind heart and generosity to both friends and family and his love for his family, who will greatly miss his smiles and finger waves. 

Survivors include his wife Tommie Kathleen Moon Partain; son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Linda Partain of Hartwell, GA; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mike Moak of Hull, GA and grandson Travis Moak of Ila, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Clyde Partain and sister Mildred Partain Eaves.

Inurnment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. 

A "Celebration of Life" will be held for Mr. Partain at Elmhurst cemetery for the immediate family. 

Berry Funeral Home & Crematory of Elberton is assisting the family of Mr. George Sidney Partain.
