Staci Gail Saxon

Miss Staci Gail Saxon, 44, of Carey Street, Elberton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022, at her residence while under the care of Homestead Hospice and in the presence of her family.

Staci was born in Elberton on April 10, 1978, the third of four children born to Angela Victoria Dickerson Saxon and Matthew Ermal Saxon. She was a 1996 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School and obtained her cosmetology degree from Athens Technical College.

A very talented cosmetologist, Staci formerly owned and operated BullDawg Cuts in Downtown Athens where she prided herself in taking care of her clients, many of which were University of Georgia Athletes.

She loved being outdoors camping and fishing, and never turned down the opportunity to travel. Staci loved being at the beach and taking cruises, and was an avid Hello Kitty fan.

Survivors, in addition to her mother Vicki of the home and her father Ermal of Bowman, include her siblings: Kristina Rae “Tina” Saxon of Elberton and Jonathan ‘Mark’ Saxon of Bowman; nieces and nephews: Chris Jeffries, Courtney Jeffries, Kaylee Brown, Brayden Saxon, and Kinsley Saxon; special friend that was more like a sister, Erin Berry; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Staci is preceded in death by her brother, David Ermal Saxon; maternal grandparents: Clark and Edna Wages Dickerson; paternal grandparents: Matthew and Effie Saxon; and special friend that was more like a sister, Lori Brown.

Funeral services celebrating Staci’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00-1:45p.m. just prior to the service.
