Steve Jones

Steve Clayton Jones, 82, of Roscoe Collette Road, Dawsonville, husband of Faye Campbell Holcombe Jones, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, at his daughter's home in Westminster, SC. Mr. Jones was born in Pickens County, GA, October 8, 1930, to the late Hershel and Pauline Eaton Jones. He was retired from Sears as a Maintenance Supervisor and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Faye Campbell Holcombe Jones; children, Danny Jones and Paul Jones, both of Dawsonville; daughters, Renee Jones Olson and her husband Jeff of Decatur, TX and Becky Jones Howington and her husband Darrell of Westminster, SC; brothers, Jimmy Jones of Lincoln County, Bud Jones of Elberton, Larry Jones of Ninety Six, SC, and Raymond Jones of Bowman; sisters, Betty Daniel of Elberton and Ruth Saxon of Royston; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jake, Paul, and Charlie Jones. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held Sunday, June 2, at 12noon in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Minister Mike Funston officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The Jones family is at the residence of Bull and Elaine Bailey, Washington Highway, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:30am-12noon Sunday.
