Steven Keith Thurman, 45, of 431 Gumlog Grove Road, Lavonia, Georgia husband of Melinda Shackleford Thurman passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home. Born February 19, 1968 in Long Beach, California to Michael Roach and Mildred Louise Bruce Roach. He was a retired roofing contractor. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Melinda Shackleford Thurman; parents Michael Roach and Mildred Bruce Roach; sons Derrick McKern and Mickey Thurman; sisters Tammy McDowell, Sarah Hamilton, Kathy Goodwin; brothers Allen Biffath, James Thurman, Tommy Thurman and a grandson Kaden McKern.
