Theodora Bowman Allen

We find great comfort and consolation in the words "Death cannot harm a Christian, for it is a passageway for those enslaved in life, into a palace of eternity, out of the sea of trouble, into a haven of rest"

"Death is a joyful messenger of peace, whose kind hand opens to the weary crusader the gate of eternal life, and lets the faithful go free". An Angel of mercy softly said, "Come Theodora" and ushered her to eternal rest on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
On this path of life we live, love, and laugh always leaving behind sweet memories for those that remain. Such was the life of Minister Theodora Bowman Allen.

She was born on January 14, 1957, to the late Mr. Johnny Howard Bowman and the late Mrs. Geneva Alexander Bowman in Elberton, Georgia. A an early age, Theodora joined Macedonia Holiness Church. In 1998, she was called into ministry at Love In Action Christian Outreach Center where she served faithfully until her health declined. Minister Theodora was a lifelong resident of Elbert County and was a retired Chief Union Stewart at Pilgrim's Pride.

Theodora found love when she met and married Mr. George Lewis Allen, her husband of 34 years. She gave of herself to her community and to her church family. Her genuine smile for others was evident by the love she shared with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Jean Ester Davis, Johnny Lee Bowman, and Melvin Leon Bowman.

Her memories will be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Mr. Georgia Lewis Allen; son, Mr. Kozmo Bowman; daughter, Mrs. Kim (Jamie) Fortson; grandchildren: Miss Trinnity Bowman, Mr. Altraveon Bowman, Mr. Kozmo Bowman, II, Miss Rachel Fortson, and Miss Gabby Fortson; siblings: Mr. Willie (Marilyn) Bowman, Mrs. Sally Elaine (Richard) Allen, Mrs. Geneva Ann (Billy) Jones, and Mr. Jackie (Evelyn) Bowman; in-laws: Mrs. Sally Bowman, Mrs. Betty Hill, Mrs. Josephine Calhoun, Mrs. Peggy Cleveland, Mrs. Loeitha Allen, Mrs. Susie Ardister, Miss Alma Allen, and Mr. Kelly Allen; uncles: Mr. Bob Norman and Mr. Bob Bowman; aunt, Mrs. Marris Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
