William A. Rosser Jr.

William "Bill" A. Rosser Jr., 93, of 651 Rhodes Dr. Elberton, husband of Maude "Kitty" Stringer Rosser passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Born in Elberton, GA May 6, 1918 he was a son of the late William A. Rosser Sr. and Florence Fleming Rosser. He was a member of Elberton Christian Church, a retired mechanic from Argo Trucking Company, a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1940 to 1945 during WWII, and a member of the Elberton VFW. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Maude "Kitty" Stringer Rosser, son and daughter-in-law William A. "Tony" Rosser III and Brenda Rosser of Nashville, TN, daughters and son-in-laws Darlene and Pete Dye of Elberton, GA, and Sherry and Mike Webb of Elberton, GA, brother Joe Rosser of Elberton, GA, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters Geneva Smith, Mildred Hutchson, and Clyde Smith. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held Sunday May 15, at 4PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Akin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Pete Dye, Mike Webb, David Dye, Michael Webb, Shawn Callaway, and Chris Lewis. Berry Funeral Home is respectfully in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. William "Bill" A. Rosser Jr.
