William Andrew Watson

William Andrew Watson, 71, of Maysville, Georgia, widower of the late Patricia Joy Hamilton Watson passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Southern Pines Nursing Home. Born November 26, 1941 in Athens, Georgia to the late Cartee Watson and Edith Palmer Watson. He was a member of Gainesville Pentecostal Church in Gainesville, Georgia a retired Plant Technician for Bellsouth after 27 years and U.S. Air Force veteran. Left to cherish his memories are his children Thomas Edward Watson of Winder, Georgia; William Ralph Watson of Winder, Georgia; Robert Cartee Watson of Monroe, Georgia and Tammy Watson Bates of Elberton, Georgia; sister JoAnn Howard of McDonough, Georgia; Wanda Watson Cape of Alto, Georgia; brother OD Watson of McDonough, Georgia; brother-in-law Willie Wilbanks; Niece Donna and Mike Towler of Lavonia, Georgia; grandchildren Edward Andrew Bates, Thomas Cartee Bates, Nickolas Paul Hamilton Bates, Ryan Vaughn Bates, Jessica Watson, Shelby Edwards and Justin Watson and one great-grandchild Mitchell Cartee Bates. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Watson Wilbanks. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Concord United Methodist Church in Elberton with Dr. Roger Aikens officiating.
