William Troy Youngblood

Mr. William Troy Youngblood, 88, of Kurt Anderson Road, Elberton, GA, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Youngblood was born November 17, 1933, in Carnesville, GA to Plumer D. Youngblood and Minnie Magdalene Jordan Youngblood. He was of the Christian Faith and was retired from the State of Georgia's Advantage Behavior Health where he oversaw the training and quality services for the handicapped and disabled. After retirement, he found a passion with doing mission work in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky until his health declined.

He is survived by his children: Debbie (Dale) Anderson of Elberton, GA and Sandy Sanders of Elberton, GA; grandchildren: Shane (Paula) Duncan, Kevin Duncan, Chrystal Todd, and Chase (Candice) Tiller; great-grandchildren: Cheyanne (Dakota), Kira (Josh), Garrett, Dakota (Hope), Luke, Tyler, Courtney (Cody), Courtney (Ryan) Haleigh, Wyatt, and Walker; great-great-grandchildren: Delilah, and one on the way, Ryleigh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kidd Youngblood; and siblings: Lois Duffield, Jack Youngblood, and Ralph Youngblood.

Funeral services to celebrate his will be held 2PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Glaze and Sister Helen Davis Sutherland officiating. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dakota Duncan, Luke Duncan, Garrett Duncan, Tyler Payton, Dakota Holmes, and Josh Bond. The family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM Wednesday just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
