Mrs. Winifred Inez Harbert Bearden, 70, of Bamberg Street, Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, wife of Mitchell Bearden, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Bearden was born in Franklin County on May 23, 1943, to the late Si and Jessie Shellnut Harbert. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Iva Church of God. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Mitchell Bearden; children, Paul Bearden of Calhoun Falls, Jonathan Bearden of Calhoun Falls, Mildred Mobley of Calhoun Falls, and Lyn Smith of Abbeville; sisters, Jeanette McCannon and Ailene Flemming, both of Elberton; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Richard Timothy Bearden and Donald Wayne Bearden; and brothers, Johnny Harbert and Calvin Harbert. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Matthew Bearden, Patrick Mobley, Michael Mobley, Brent Waters, Jacob Waters, Roy Willoughby, Weston Bearden, and Dickie Waters honored as pallbearers. The family is at the residence on Bamberg Street and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Friday evening.
