Albert Henry Mumpower

Mr. Albert Henry Mumpower, 74, of Elberton, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at home.The son of the late Albert and Rosemary Partridge Mumpower, he was born in Belair, Maryland on September 2, 1947. Mr. Mumpower served his country in the U.S. Army as an 11B20 Infantryman where he earned the National Defense Service Medal.After leaving the military, he worked most of his life constructing bridges, tunnels and buildings in Washington DC, Chicago, and Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Louise Mumpower; children: Johnny Mumpower, Belinda Christy Mumpower, Carla Monseur and her husband, Solomon, Eric Mumpower, Bryant Mumpower and Sara Mumpower; and siblings: Ann Mumpower, John Mumpower, Bonnie Anderson and Linda Smith. No services are planned at this time.
