Amelia Carsandra "Sandy" Short

Amelia Carsandra "Sandy" Range Short passed away surrounded by her family Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Sandy was born September 7, 1938 in Porterdale, GA.

She is survived by her three sons Billy White (Kenna) Brian White (Laura) Todd White(Dawn), 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. & Mrs Thomas Range, brother Thomas Range Jr., and sister Diane Range.

Ms. Short worked at Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and retired from City of Conyers Police Department. She also drove a school bus for many years. Sandy enjoyed taking cruises and going to the casino to gamble. She also loved to spend time with her sons and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sandy was an animal lover and had many pets throughout her life. Sandy was full of life and made friends everywhere she went.

In lieu of flowers Sandy would like to have donations sent by gift cards in her honor to Rockdale County Animal service at the following address 1506 Rock Bridge RD NW Conyers, GA 30012 or you can also bring them to her celebration of life that will be held at a later date, as she was such an animal lover.
