Anita Faye Minton Frost

Mrs. Anita Faye Minton Frost passed away peacefully at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center after an eight-year battle with dementia. Surrounded by the love of her family, she left behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She was born to the late Oakley R. Minton and Edna W. Minton and was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Oakley “Bubba” Minton and brother in law Don Spivack.

Anita was the devoted wife of Louie Waldo Frost, Jr., with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage after marrying in 1970. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

She is survived by her loving sister, Barbara Spivack (Don); her son, Dana Frost (Leia) of Athens, Georgia; and her daughter, Joanna Swilling (Duggar). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to nine cherished grandchildren: Parker Adams (Kelsea), Logan Peters, Emily Adams, Clay Frost, Eli Frost, Casey Peters, Aaiden Swilling, Ava Richardson, and Maddox Swilling. She was also blessed with one precious great-grandson, Wade Adams, who brought her immeasurable joy. In addition, she is survived by her dear friends, Helen and Gene Crump, whose friendship meant so much to her throughout the years.

A graduate of Miami High School, Anita devoted much of her life to caring for others. She lovingly kept children in her home for many years, nurturing and influencing countless young lives. She later spent more than 25 years as a sales consultant with Tena’s Jewelry, where she formed many treasured friendships and was known for her warmth and genuine kindness.

A faithful member of New Bethel United Methodist Church, Anita was actively involved in the United Methodist Women and found great joy in serving alongside her church family. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was reflected in the compassion and love she showed to everyone she met.

Anita’s greatest joy was her family. She loved gathering everyone around the table, cooking meals for those she loved, spending quiet moments with a good book, and making treasured memories at the beach, one of her favorite places. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Anita is now at peace. Her love, strength, and gentle spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at New Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in Coldwater United Methodist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Parker Adams, Logan Peters, Clay Frost, Eli Frost, Aaiden Swilling, and Maddox Swilling. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kelsea Adams, Emily Adams, Casey Peters, and Ava Richardson.

The family will receive friends from 7PM to 9PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anita’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, in honor of her courageous eight-year journey with dementia and in support of the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
