Barbara Sue Butler

Mrs. Barbara Sue Madden Butler, 83, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Butler was born in Elberton, daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey Madden and Lula Jane Hill Madden.She was a loving and devoted mother, and enjoyed caring for her family.Her daughters feel blessed to have been able to share the job of caregiver for her over the years. Mrs. Butler was an active and faithful member of Middleton United Methodist Church, until her declining health prevented her from attending. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sandra Butler of Elberton, Barbara “GiGi” Twigg of Cosby, TN, and Donna Lovinggood of Elberton.She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will plan services at a later date. Arrangements for Mrs. Barbara Madden Butler are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
