Barbara Ann Dye Rousey

Mrs. Barbara Ann Dye Rousey, 78, of Lloyd Rousey Road, Bowman, wife of Bobby Joe Rousey, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her residence.

Barbara was born in Elberton on June 11, 1946, daughter of the late James Rush Dye and Thelma Fell. She retired from the shipping department at Rilla Incorporated. Barbara was a faithful member of Rehoboth Baptist Church where she served as a preschool Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Bobby, are her son, Jeffery Lloyd Rousey and his wife Angela Kay Rousey; grandchildren: Melody Anderson and Emilee Rousey; great-grandchildren: Nova Rousey, Gavin Anderson, and Koen Anderson; siblings: Camilla Ivey, Joel Dye, and Celeste Helms; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, she has been reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Traci Lynn Rousey.

The service celebrating Barbara’s homegoing will be held on Saturday, June 7, at 12 o’clock at Rehoboth Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Marcengill and Ned Klugh officiating. The family is at the residence and will greet friends beginning at 11:00a.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
