Barry Lynn Echols, 65, died October 4, 2020 and his wife, Cheryl Jane Mayall Echols, 61, died December 7, 2020.

Mr. Echols was a son of the late Walter Marion Echols and Mary Irene Powell Echols, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Eugene Echols. He was a self employed welder and fabricator having owned BL Echols Hauling.

Mrs. Echols was a daughter of Wayne Mayall and Shirley Cutlip. She enjoyed completing and framing puzzles, as well as collecting thousands of postage stamps.

The couple is survived by Mrs. Echol’s parents, Wayne (Elaine) Mayall and Shirley (William) Cutlip; her siblings: Debra (Robert) Foit, Theresa (Udell) Groves, Regina (Aaron) Stout, Wendy (Paul) Earl, and Steve (Evelyn) Cutlip; and Mr. Echol’s sister, Sherrell (Joel) Stringer.

A graveside service celebrating the lives of Barry and Cheryl Echols will be held on Sunday, June 27, at 3 o’clock at Washington Wilkes Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating.

Flowers will be accepted.
