Benjamin Bleckly Francis

Mr. Benjamin Bleckly Francis, of Elberton, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Heardmont Health & Rehabilitation Center. 

Mr. Francis was born in Clayton on November 4, 1931, son of the late Benjamin Francis and Elizabeth "Betty" Henderson. He was a graduate of Tallulah Falls School and worked in the construction industry all of his life. An avid outdoors man, he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. 

Surviving are his children and their spouses: Ben and Terry Francis, Susan and Franky Gibson, Jeff and Diane Francis, John and Debbie Francis, and Linda Francis; fifteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, William Allen "Bill" Francis; and siblings: twin sister Barbara Jo Galo, Phoebe Reik, and Ann Garrison.
