Beth Willis Rosser, age 91, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home.

She is the widow of the late George Johnson Rosser. Born July 21, 1930 in Fortsonia, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Carswell Willis and Quillie Norman Willis.

Beth was a graduate of Nancy Hart Memorial School, Fortsonia, GA. She started her career in Atlanta, GA as a switchboard operator at Southern Bell (AT&T). She married and started her family, where she served as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed assisting the elderly and was employed with Anderson/Oconee Council on Aging (Senior Solutions) until her retirement with 20 years of service.

Beth was an excellent southern style cook, loved family gatherings, interior decorating, gardening and was a member of Park Place Garden Club. She was an inspirational Christian lady and was a member of Concord Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was thrilled to be affectionately known as “Grannie Beth” by her only grandchild.

Survivors include her daughters, Carla R. Riddle (Randy), Sonya R. King; grandson, Justin R. King and his girlfriend, Jasmine Johnson and grand dog Teddy. She is survived locally by her sister-in-law, Camilla Rosser Wansley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Home Instead, SC House Calls and Agape Hospice.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Bethel E Baptist Church Cemetery in Elberton, GA. The family invites you to join them at the cemetery.

Flowers are accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Bethel E Baptist Church, 2576 Calhoun Falls Highway, Elberton, GA 30635, and Joy Sunday School Class of Concord Baptist Church. 1012 Concord Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

The McDougald Funeral Home of Anderson is in charge of arrangements.
