Betty Ann Alewine Abercrombie

Mrs. Betty Ann Alewine Abercrombie, 83, of Elberton, GA passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Mrs. Abercrombie was born July 16, 1943 in Hartwell, GA to Johnson E. Alewine and Lilly Lavada Horne Alewine. She was a member of Bowman Church of God and was a retired sprawl cleaner in the granite industry.

She is survived her son and daughter-in-law: Darrell Wayne Abercrombie and Sherry Abercrombie; daughter: Elizabeth Hollingsworth; sister: Lilly Grace Fleeman, grandchildren: Dacia, Emma, Matthew, Erica, Amy, Tiffany; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Talmadge Franklin "Rooster" Abercrombie, son: Frankie Abercrombie, grandson: Brannon Abercrombie and sister: Mary Lou Sorrows, Madglene Hill and Lucille Hill.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2026 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Lynch officiating and they will receive friends from 12PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Danny Smith, Dale Abercrombie, Junior Abercrombie, Wayne Abercrombie, Frankie Abercrombie and Matthew Hollingsworth serving as pallbearers.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
