Bobby Lavelle Rigdon

Mr. Bobby Lavelle “Crook” Rigdon, 89, of Elberton, husband of 39 years to the late Nancye Carolyn “Fancy Pants” Bailey Rigdon, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rigdon was born in Hickory, MS on September 18, 1936, son of the late James Clarence Rigdon and Icie Pearl Chaney Rigdon. He was a truck driver and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in MS.

Surviving are his children: Charla and Eric Rousey of Elberton, Jimmy and Misty Blakemore of Elberton, and Mary Elizabeth Saxon of Louisiana; four-legged companion, Outlaw; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Rigdon; daughters: Narvelle and Andy Gibbons and Vicki and Jeff Eaves; granddaughter, Jessica Rigdon; great-grandson, Colton Rousey; and siblings: Burley Rigdon, Bennie Rigdon, and Emma Lou Rigdon.

Family graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, April 12, at 10:00a.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery.
