Carolyn Marie Walton

Miss Carolyn Marie Walton, 64, of Elberton, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at her residence.

A longtime resident of Atlanta, Carolyn was born in Elberton on October 18, 1957, daughter of the late Zach Tate and Bessie Mae Walton. She was a house keeper having retired from Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dancing, and all around having a good time!

Survivors include her daughters: Alfredia and Willie Brown, II of Elberton, Asia Walton of Atlanta, and Gwendolyn Evans of Anderson, SC; longtime partner, Charles Williams of Atlanta; siblings: Carl and Sarah Walton of Elberton, Angela and Gerald Watkins of Jonesboro, Alice Johnson of Elberton, Rosa and Jimmy Cullars of Elberton; grandchildren: Chastity Brown, Talia Brown, Khaseim Walton, Jr., De’Andre Walton, and Tyler Sykes; great-grandchildren: Ayden Brown and Alijah Brown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: Khaseim Walton, Sr. and Shah Walton; grandson, Willie Brown, III; and brother, Robert Lee Walton.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 19, from 2:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, at 1 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
