Mr. Chad Edward Anderson, 49, of Kurt Anderson Road, Elberton, husband of 23 years to Sara Ann Black Anderson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital with family by his side.

Born in Elberton on April 26, 1977, Chad was the youngest son of Carolyn Joyce Davis Anderson of Elberton and the late James Edward Anderson. He was a graduate of Athens Technical College where he completed the HVAC program and a member of Coldwater Methodist Church.

A longtime truck driver, Chad was currently employed with L&M Granite Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and never missed an opportunity to visit the mountains. Above all, his family, who affectionately called him “Pee-Paw”, was his pride and joy.

In addition to his devoted wife and caretaker, Sara, he is survived by his sons: Brinston Anderson and Jace Rhein and his wife Gail, all of Elberton; grandson, Ayden Cobb of Elberton; mother, Carolyn Anderson; and brother, Ricky Anderson of Elberton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.Funeral services celebrating Chad’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, May 20, at 2:00p.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Cody Haynie and Shane Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in Chad’s memory to the Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation, 4 Medical Drive, Elberton, GA 30635.
