Charlene Lilly Cleveland

Mrs. Charlene Lilly Cleveland, 85, of Elberton, GA, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 9, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Cleveland was born on August 18, 1937, in Winford, Illinois to the late Charles Edward Young and Dockie Alice Brewer Young. She was the youngest of eight children and a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed many hobbies, including cooking, baking, antiquing, fishing, and arrowhead hunting. Mrs. Cleveland always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Windell Cleveland; all seven of her siblings; as well as a daughter, Darlene Franklin.

Mrs. Cleveland is survived by her children, Audrey (Shane) Johnson and Chris Cleveland; grandchildren, Danielle Molina, Xander Cleveland, and Zaiden Cleveland; as well as four great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cleveland will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Elberton, GA, with Chaplain Don McKelvey officiating. A private interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
