Charles Arthur Pickel

Mr. Charles Arthur Pickel, 70, of 2146 Indian Hill Road, Elberton, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in the St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Sevierville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Charles Edward Pickel. He was an Army Veteran serving in Korea, and a retired stone mason. Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Grace Mooris Pickel; daughter, Barbra Galyon of Seymour, Tennessee; son, Preston Prescott Pickel and daughter-in-law, Angela Pickel of Elberton; sisters, Mary Owens and Marty Yoro of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Cindy Robertson of Atlanta; brother, William Mooris of Sevierville; and five grandchildren. The family has chosen cremation and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Charles Arthur Pickel.
