Charles Milford Brown

Mr. Charles 'Milford' Brown, 82, of Brown-Wilder Drive, Dewy Rose, husband of Janeth Louise Craft Brown, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. at his residence.

The third of six children, Milford was born in Elberton on June 10, 1943, son of the late John Emory Brown and Cariene Elizabeth Scoggins Brown. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Milford was a hardworking man. He grew up working alongside his dad in the pulpwood industry. Milford also worked at Burlington Mills and enjoyed restoring studebaker cars. He is most remembered as the owner/operator of Milford Brown Construction.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, Janeth, are his children: Randall Brown and his wife Kathie of Dewy Rose and Kendra Wilder and her husband Lynn of Georgetown, TX; sisters: Deborah Bell of Comer and Linda Pless and her husband Ray of Dewy Rose; grandchildren: Haylee Mayhue and her husband Matt, Hope Duncan and her husband Dakota, Colin Wilder, Anna Wright and her husband Johnathon, and Brylee Wilder; great-grandchildren: Ella, Eli, Emory, and Emmie Lou; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Along with his parents, Milford is preceded in death by his siblings: Geraldine Smith, Doug Brown, and Rebecca Johnson and brother-in-law: Tony Bell.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00a.m. until 10:45a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Funeral services, officiated by the Revs. Andrew Sullivan and Tim Adams, will follow at 11:00a.m. in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. During other times, the family is at the residence on Brown-Wilder Drive in Dewy Rose.
