Charles Daniel "Chuck" Emmons

Mr. Charles Daniel Emmons, better known as “Chuck”, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Most recently a resident of Bowman, he was 64 years old. 

Chuck was born in Iowa on August 1, 1960, son of the late Garland William Emmons, Jr. and Peggy Jeanette Carden Emmons. He was a mechanic having worked for many years at Roger Jordan’s Garage in Decatur. He also worked in fleet maintenance for both Gwinnett and Dekalb Counties. Chuck enjoyed fly fishing, vintage cars, and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, canning, pickling, and making jellies. 

Surviving are his wife, Diane Michele Sutherland Culver-Emmons of the residence; step-children that he loved as his own: Jeffrey Allen Culver of Athens and Cathrine Ane Shaw of Milton, FL; grandchildren: Jeremy, Calan, and Victoria Ane Marie Shaw; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Scott Emmons.
