Charles W. Phelps, Sr.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF SERVICE TIME

Mr. Charles Wilbur Phelps, Sr., 79, of Hartwell Highway, Elberton, husband of 21 years to Marilyn Phelps, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his residence with family at his side. 

Charles will lie in state for public viewing at Berry Funeral Home on Friday, August 29, from 1:00p.m until 5:00p.m. and on Saturday, August 30, from 9:00a.m. until 12noon. 

His life will be celebrated during a funeral service at First Methodist Church of Elberton on Sunday, August 31, at 3:00p.m. Charles will be placed in the church at 2:00p.m. Interment will be in Lincoln Heights Cemetery.

The family is at the residence.
