Charlie N Fowler

Mr. Charlie N. Fowler, age 83, of Elberton, died May 21, 2009.Mr. Fowler was born in Franklin County, GA, the son of the late Pete Fowler and Elizabeth Bowers Fowler.He worked as a meat cutter and clerk for Jolly John’s Grocery, and he also retired from the U. S. Army National Guard in 1968.He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Cerlester (pronounced “kuh-lest-uh”) Adams Fowler. He is survived by extended family, Dennis and Susan Dixon of Elberton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 PM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Pastor Rand Freer officiating.Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memorial Park.The family will receive friends Saturday Afternoon 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice in Mr. Fowler’s name.
