Mrs. Charlie Brown Gaines, 99, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell. A native of Elberton, Mrs. Gaines was the daughter of the late Frank Stark and Anna Oglesby Brown.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Frank Gaines, her son, Ben Frank Gaines, Jr., and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Gaines worked throughout her life as a drafter in the granite industry.She moved to Alpharetta a few years ago to be near her family.Mrs. Gaines was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Elberton and The Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Gaines is survived by her daughter, Nancy Partridge and husband, William, of Alpharetta; and five grandchildren: Andrea Sendobry (Douglas), Tiffany Hess (David), Callen Partridge (Katherine). Sanders Partridge, and Kenneth Partridge.She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: McKenna Sendobry, Kyle Gaines Sendobry, William Partridge, Charles Partridge, and Aaron Lee Partridge. A service to celebrate Mrs. Gaines’ life was held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. A time of visitation began at 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.Interment was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, with Douglas Sendobry, David Hess, Callen Partridge, Sanders Partridge, and Kenneth Partridge serving as pallbearers.Mrs. Gaines’ five great-grandchildren served as Honorary Pallbearers. Arrangements for Mrs. Charlie Brown Gaines were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
