Charlie Reppard "Rep" Nash

Lt. Col (Ret.) Charlie Reppard Nash, better known as “Rep”, died suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Lowndes County, GA, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 76 years old and a resident of Valrico, FL.

Son of the late Charlie Frank Nash and Jimmie Lou Cole Nash, Rep was born on August 18, 1947, at Fort McPherson, GA, where his father was stationed with the U.S. Army. After his father retired from the Army, Rep’s family moved to Elberton, GA, where he spent his high school years. He was a 1965 graduate of Elbert County High School.

Following the footsteps of his father, Rep joined the United States Air Force in 1965 and attended the Air Force Academy until 1968. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Quantitative Methods the following year and became a commissioned officer in 1970. Later in 1979, he received his Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia College.  Rep was active duty in the Air Force for 25 years, serving in eleven different assignments, including Ankara, Turkey, Ramstein, Germany, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His final assignment was with Central Command at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.

After his retirement from the Air Force in 1993, Rep worked as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Tampa, FL, until retiring in 2023. Rep loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren and traveling the world with his wife and good friends. Rep knew how to live life to the fullest and love unconditionally. His infectious laugh, adventurous spirit, and funny sense of humor will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 55 years, Cecile Hancock Nash of Valrico, FL; his daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Laurie and Tony Cuva of Tampa, FL; his son and daughter-in-law, Hon.
